RANDLE CLIFF, MARYLAND
Randle Cliff is located on the Western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, just South of Chesapeake Beach
in Calvert County. The bayside cliffs in Calvert County are considered among the world's richest fossil areas. According to
the National Park Service,
Captain John Smith probably anchored near Randle Cliff on June 11, 1608. Maryland Route 261, Bayside Road, runs north and
south just a bit inland of the Randle Cliff shoreline. There is a
Bluebird Trail
located near Randle Cliff. The beach at Randle Cliff is called Brownies Beach. Officially it's called Bay Front Park.

The Randle Cliff area is served by the
North Beach Fire Department as well as by the fire
department from the Naval Research Laboratory. |
